Wyllex is an upcoming learning app for Law students. This notice explains how Wyllex handles personal information on this website and our early access waitlist.
What we collect
When you join the waitlist, we collect your email address and, if you choose to share it, your university. We also save the signup time, the referring website’s domain, and campaign labels included in the link you followed. We do not store the full referring URL.
Our hosting and service providers may process technical information such as IP addresses and request logs to deliver and protect the website.
Why we use it
We use your email to confirm your place and send updates about Wyllex early access. Your optional university helps us understand where interest comes from. Referral and campaign information helps us understand how people find us. We do not sell your information.
We rely on your consent for waitlist emails and optional analytics. We rely on our legitimate interests in running and securing this website for essential technical processing. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing that happened before you withdrew it.
Analytics and your choice
When enabled, we use PostHog only if you choose “Allow analytics”. We record a small set of actions: page views, exploring the product demo or a subject, clicking the main call to action, and starting or completing signup. We do not send your email, university, form contents, or URL query strings to PostHog. We do not enable session recordings, advertising trackers, or automatic interaction capture.
We use a random identifier kept in page memory to group events during your visit. It resets when the page reloads. We ask PostHog not to create person profiles or enrich events with location data. Like any network service, its infrastructure receives connection information, including your IP address.
Your analytics choice is saved in your browser’s local storage so we can remember it. This preference is essential to honouring your choice; no optional analytics runs before consent. When analytics is configured, you can change your decision using “Privacy choices” in the footer. We also respect browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. Blocking storage or declining analytics does not prevent you from using the website.
Who helps us run Wyllex
Cloudflare hosts and protects the site. Supabase stores the waitlist. If confirmation emails are enabled, Resend delivers them. PostHog processes optional analytics. These providers process data to supply their services. Depending on our provider settings and their infrastructure, information may be processed outside your country, including in the European Economic Area or United States. Where required, we use provider agreements and appropriate transfer safeguards.
How long we keep information
We keep waitlist details until you ask to leave, or for up to 12 months after the app’s public launch. If we discontinue the waitlist, we will delete its records within 90 days. Analytics retention follows our PostHog project settings. Copies in provider backups may remain until their normal backup retention periods expire.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to access, correct, or delete your details, withdraw consent, or raise a concern by emailing hello@wyllex.com. To leave the waitlist, send “Unsubscribe” in the subject line from the address you used to join. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to restrict or object to processing and receive a portable copy of your data. You can complain to your local data protection authority. In the UK, this is the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Students under 16
This waitlist is intended for university students aged 16 or over. If you believe someone under 16 has shared personal information with us, contact us so we can remove it.
